Dear SCG, of course you made an impression on me. I was only joking about the studs, but yes, we only have snow chains here in the tropics of Alabama. Actually, I think of you often. I think of you when it's really hot outside and I think of you when I eat maple syrup or turnip greens. I think of you when I see a story about Putin, or when I mail a package, I think of you when I see (or plant) daffodils, and I think of you when I pass an old cemetery. I even think of you if I find a coin laying around the house! Yes, you left quite the impression on me, and I am thankful for it.

As far as the symbol goes, it is the symbol for the (former) band Type O Negative.

I have not heard from BYC. I figured that The new hatch a long crew was taking it over.

I stepped in to host it at the request of Nifty Chicken.

I think that 'new crew' has gone a bit overboard, but jmo...

That is what I am afraid of--Working on the Easter hatch a long and the contests we had to do all these involved things. I like to keep it simple and fun.

It seems to be expected now--working with vendors that were actually quite expensive too. One of them did not think that I was doing what they wanted so they started their own contest thread in the middle of the hatch a long.

Simple and fun is what I appreciated about your HAL's... and involving many willing to help and keep it flowing... I know working with vendors and doing contests were a pain... your work was always much appreciated... it just seems to have devolved into a mess of mass numbers and popularity control... not my kind of thing... saddens me... I was looking forward to NYD and Easter ones...

I just like hatching with other people hatching at the same time. I don't really care about who wins what and all that jazz. Maybe we could do one just for fun, no prizes involved, aside from the "sanctioned" HAL.
