An interview is an interview... doesn't really matter if it's for a new job or by someone else about your present job... Must have made you feel good to know how much your employees like you

and they do if they were afraid you were interviewing for another job that would make you leave. So sorry you wasted valuable gussiness in a failed video call attempt. 10 years from now you probably won't even bother getting gussied at all... just a guess.

Good Morning SCG,
frow.gif

My DW is what around here is called a farm girl, broad shouldered and stocky build. She and 2 of our DD's can out lift me and do out weigh me by a bit. I'm just a skinny old farm boy who never did get big, still weigh 160.
Have a good day!

I have an interview tomorrow.

I hate clothes shopping.

I dislike most people. I hate talking to them. I hate listening to them.

I hate being out in public.

I wear dumpy scrubs every day for work. Jeans or sweats and a t shirt most non work days.

I realized 2 weeks ago with the interview looming that I'll need to put my big girl panties on and go suit shopping so that I could look nice and professional. I thought about it every day and how I should just go get it done.

Naturally I waited until the last minute (tonight). In an ice storm.

I'm built like a linebacker. I can split firewood with a maul. I carry feed sacks around. Saturday I chopped a partially fallen tree the rest of the way down, put the pieces of trunk on my shoulder and walked it up my hilly driveway. I'm not petite. I'm sturdy. And ok I'll admit it, fat.

And apparently suits are not built for female linebackers.

I already hate clothes shopping. Add to it putting on a suit and then looking in the mirror and trying to figure out why I look like something the cat threw up on the rug.

After 90 minutes of "this can't possibly be real," I bought a nice sweater, instead.

Al and I should go shopping together and tape it. That'd be comedic gold.

SCG - Some of these statements I agree with, and some I don't. For the rest of you, I will preface this with...I have met SCG and spent several days with her, so I know, first hand.

You, SCG, are not fat. Yes, you are "sturdy" ... aka healthy, strong, competent. You are also independent, smart, ambitious, hilarious, caring (even if you don't like many people,) generous, talented, quirky (in a good way!) convicted, and true to your convictions, a great friend (Dsqrd is lucky to have you, as you are to have her) and just as cute as you can be, especially when you laugh.

I am so happy that I had the opportunity to get to know you and Dsqrd, although I am pretty sure that your trip here was just a step in y'all's fantastic adventure together. I am pretty sure that you classify me as one of those people you do not like, but please, rest assured, that you are one of the most interesting, and endearing people I have ever had the pleasure of getting to know.

You summed it up best once in a PM. You are a perfectly lovely person.

Doing the post catch-up with you guys and just quit the effort, I was 5 months behind and never getting closer.
I will try to keep up this time.
Hi everybody again.
Scott
Welcome back! Don't worry. There is no such thing as "catching up" with this bunch of chattering peeps. I miss a couple of days and totally lost!

Ok, just enjoying my morning cuppa and there is NO WAY I am going out to the coop until the windchill gets back up to at least -20 F!!!! Nope, just not sticking my nose out with actual temp at -17 with a -37 windchill. Nope, nope, nope. I made sure the chooks were all set last night and they all toasty (I have a remote thermometer in the coop so I know the temp and I turned on their radiant heater before bed). Puppers and I are snuggled into the Lazy Boy with our blankie and we're not movin'!

Just reading your temps make me ache. If I fall behind on any of the threads that I try to keep up with I just jump to the last page and go forward from there. Otherwise I would be replying to comments made a week ago.
