The Old Folks Home

Nothing wrong with a trumpet solo... when that's what you're expecting. When you're in the middle of a conversation about windshield de-icer and she grabs the trumpet... mild problems.

Then I asked her to play scales.

Both my parents were instrumental music teachers, I can play (not well) almost every instrument you can put in front of me (sans the strings with exception of upright bass).

Wish it was nice enough to go outside for long. Today it didn't make it above 15 and it's still nasty icy out. I'd like to go for a trail walk but it'll be a couple months before they're ready to be used.

I actually did not do more than walk to the chickens wind trying to
steal my hood... watched the coop tarp flutter as the wind hits in the back of it
me in my rubber boots trying to stay upright long enough to take the eggs in

Reminds me of both Mozart in the Jungle--a show on Amazon Prime and Monty Python!

She is a crazy neighbor Lady for sure!

Will you be dressed up in go-to-town clothes and wear nice shoes?
I do hope that you have a good time.

Good grief no!

I wore my Carhatts...been over a month since they have been washed..and I wear them everyday except Sunday church. :D

I did wear a shirt that has only been worn.....uh.... maybe 4 times since washing...and I wore my "try really hard not to wear them through the animal yards" boots.

But I did brush my teeth and my hair........and bring my own money to buy a coffee house coffee. :old I also have all my own teeth....so dude, I not only fit in, I looked up-scale.

Hybernation. -21 F with -36 windchill at daylight. Temp is now 5 above (first time in days) but wind is gusting and sun is almost below treetops so temps are starting to drop again. Tonight is bitter again. Tomorrow should be a bit better. The Packer game in Greenbay tomorrow should be interesting. They have already announced they will be giving away free hot cocoa at all the concession stands and posting instructions on how to recognize hypothermia. Welcome to the next Ice Bowl. We will NOT be at the game! Temps might get up into the teens at the stadium and there is going to be a nice wind coming off the big water (Lake Michigan). The kids offered us their season ticket holders' post season discount. No thanks. We'll watch from our matching Lazy Boys' thank you. Hope you enjoyed your coffee clutch Al!!!
Keep warm and safe! I hope it warms up for you.... to a nice safe 22F. :old
Al, which holey t-shirt did you don for the occasion?
HA! I actually wore a decentish dress shirt... I think it is 20 years old...but no holes at all. :ya But I needn't of bothered. I never took my jacket off...kept it zipped up too. I did pick my nice jacket.
Do you need one of those emotional support dogs?
I am with @Latestarter on edible support dogs. But I way prefer quality sausage verses hotdogs. But yeah, if you need to go hotdog, Hebrew is great. At to toppings... relish is toxic..I think it must be a yankee green sludge big city thing. Do the true people of Texas actually eat that stuff? Say it ain't so!!!! Hotdog toppings are mustard or ketchup, or BOTH (yep, I combo) or GOOD chilli with cheese and onions and maybe peppers. Cheese is good on both...but cheese is good on most things. :)

What!? Who brought sausage into the equation? I thought the subject was emotional support "dogs"... Oh yeah, I'll take just about any sausage over the standard hot dog. Just about every time! I like the "hot link" type sausages, or brats/italian, even kielbasa...

I will not a dog of any kind if it is Chicken or Pork..... ALL BEEF ONLY
serve me dog only that way but Costco does it right here at least

BF made sausage in gravy over biscuits tonight for dinner. The sausage was the "hot" style we made up a few weekends ago. It was one of the tastiest things I've ever had... short of those pork chops in mushroom gravy over rice he made Friday night.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do without a pig next year.
I pick up my quarter cow later this month. Can't wait to see what he does with beef.
