The Old Folks Home

I own Jeans and Tshirts and one or two dress over jackets....

Been wearing the same shoes now for five years. Wore the last pair five years and the pair before that. I still have one pair brand new in the box waiting for their turn. All the same brand and style.

the last dress I owned was when I was 25. Mom made it for me to wear on a cruise. That was more than 25 years ago.

Unfortunately While I would love to shop at thrift stores Salvation army and such. Things in my size simply get snatched up before I can get there.

I do have a store I shop at that I like. Cathryns... they Own Lane Bryant. But Cathryns prices are lower and their selection is more to my taste. But the biggest value there is The clothes are not cheaply made. I had one shirt which was a hand me down from a friend. It was at least ten years old when I got it. About thirty years ago. I finally threw it out this month.

OMG is what comes to mind for me, SGC.

I hear you chickisoup. Footwear is the one thing I am forced to waste money on. I have several medical things going on with my feet the least of which being plantar fasciitis so I have to wear New Balance footwear with arch inserts. I weep every time I write a check out for them. I can't wear heels anymore because of my foot problems so that pretty well puts the damper on cute shoes for me. I'm just one podiatrist appointment shy of being in old woman orthopedic shoes, LOL.

Up at lake Tahoe, in the Sierra Nevada Mt.s, the second story is used as outside access when the snow gets like that! They have a door and steps too.

The whole thing is very foreign to me though. It rarely snows in Woodland. We just have dam spillways fail....

We can get out the garage door, for now. That opens in, and the shovels were thankfully located inside. Both the front and the kitchen doors look like this. There's snow up to my

and I swear we are not going to be able to get out those doors until at least August.

We are getting another 10-16 inches on Wednesday.

I'm ready to give up.
