Actually she / he never broke the skin.

Unless the Emu was rusty, I would say you're probably good... now rabies on the other hand.... lol

Do birds even get rabies??

Alaskan, haven't you got this getting stuck thing down pat yet? You seem to keep having to practice doing it.:lau

Dont I kniw it!

We have a wench somewhere.... I wanna find it and bolt it to the truck...start getting myself out of the ditches.

Yesterday was annoying because I stuck myself so I was blocking the populated driveway. Two neighbors wanted to leave, go into town for a beer and BBQ. I told them I was out of beer...but I could give them a young goat for their BBQ. :D

They started looking at how stuck I was to see if they could pull me out. I told them that I had already thought of that...but I was stuck pretty well, and if they jerked me out...it might work...but my brakes were getting a bit iffy, and since they would be downhill from me...well, I was pretty sure he would be sad if I rammed into his truck.

He agreed.

Rabies is only possible in mammals. All mammals.

Alaska ain't for wimps, that's for certain.

DH knows an eye doc up there who used to work for him as an assistant before going into college. They called one day and did their best to recruit us to move up there. Docs are needed, nurses are needed. We'd love it. We were seriously thinking about it until we started watching some of the Alaska programs on TV. We decided that if we were younger we might make a go at it, but we aren't and we are outdoor type of people so we are better off staying in Missouri where we only have to deal with 25 inches of snow a year.

So my hat is off to you brave souls enduring the endless night of winter and the mosquitoes big enough to ride in the summer.

As for getting a wench, sounds like a plan, Alaskan. Either that or stock up on BBQ and Beer.

They put those weight limit signs up here also, how's the farmer's milk on the back roads supposed to get picked up!?
(when its still dark :-D )
