that kinda stare would make most wonder I have one young barred I picked a few up in the spring
she thought she might go broody but when I gave her day olds she was fine very serious to start but about 6 days in
found them dead 1 by one,m thankfully only gave her three

Yeah, dead serious. Believe it or not, the only thing she has done so far is screech at me like a banshee when I traded out her fake eggs for hatching eggs this morning. She has been such a good broody for a first timer. She has got out of her box and into her pen to do her snatch and grab for food and leave me a big present before going back to her eggs. My Buff Os should be taking lesons from her.

Ouch! Penny. I spent about three days trying to dissuade her from her obsession and finally gave up. I'd been leaving ceramic eggs in the nest boxes for the new layers and she took it seriously.

When I saw those big presents they leave behind on the morning trip out, I knew Harriet was serious too. She is now happy with 7 Serama eggs.
