Honorary grandma, I'M HONORED!!! She is a precious young lady
Well, we still have power!
Third day in a row with sustained high winds. Thank the Lord for our woods! We are well protected from anything coming from the north and west. At times it's really weird when you go outside. The wind howling so loud it sounds like a freight train but the only way you can tell it's the wind is by looking at the treetops, then a sudden shift and you are grabbing for something to avoid being blown over.
Had a few short outages but no serious damage. Thunderstorm so bright Monday night it totally freaked out our little dog (who never pays attention to storms) so bad she wiggled until she was completely underneath me with her head on my pillow and fell asleep still shaking. The howling wind with gusts up to 75 mph didn't help. Yesterday the winds continued. Thought we were going to get blown off the road driving to town. Again, no real damage for us, just chasing stuff I didn't know could move around the property. The potato flats really catching it hard tho. Trees down everywhere. A huge old oak came down at the courthouse square and flattened three squad cars. This morning it's 40 mph sustained wind and snow! Give me a break! Oh well. Don't have to worry too much about shoveling, the wind is taking care of that tho I bet we'll find the driveway and road drifted in.
I know how blessed we are! I can't imagine what folks in the west are dealing with, horrible. All this wind for them too and then fire. No way you could outrun that. Or save any animals.
There were tornadoes up here too earlier in the week but nothing near us.
Please any of you in harm''s way, do your best to stay safe, we need you!
