I am trying not to look... they aren't really due until tomorrow...OH! And I just remembered,
I didn't put them in all at the same time. Duh! Ok...I shall be more patient.

(Mostly fancy Chamois Spitz eggs from my flock, two EE eggs and I think two Leghorn eggs)

even if it were 50 a year I was spending 20 bucks a load for delivery.... I wanted a single axle they are easier to haul over rough roads. I have a horse trailer I could use but its a beast.... a good beast but still spooks me a little to haul it. I can do it but it has to be a very necessary thing. besidees even though its a two horse slant load there is only a single horse loading door... Not my best decision for a horse trailer.....

Yeah....small and easy to load etc. sure is a nice thing.

I remember driving a big passenger van (12 person???) towing a LONG cattle trailer, and having to haul it all over tarnation. Talk about being super careful as to where I would stop for food and gas. Can we say only at the places built for the giant 16 wheelers? Oh yeah!

Lol mini trucker!! And I can say that after driving an 18 wheeler for years lol

Quote: The length actually makes it easier to tow and back... in town or on highway even two lanes.... I can back em up and park em... On the flat.... i backed the trailer UP into its parking spot.

thats what spooked me... The truck is a BEAST HAULER... but they gave it a wimpy reverse gear ratio.... I could smell the clutch burning. I hadnt drivin the horse trailer With horse in it in about five years.... no parking break made it an adventure to get the horse loaded. I have NO help...

So a smaller trailer is a good choice for sure. Its got the capacity and foot print i need for future projects. Hay first .... then stall mats and pallet buliding materials. I can work out of the back of the trailer construction wise.

Im buying it tomorrow... then off to register it then to pick up the hay.

The shorter the trailer the worse it is to back up just be careful until you get used to it

Yep I know Thankfully where I have to back it up to is only up to the hay stack area... No objects to hit down hill. Get the turn started and follow the trailer in.

yep baby girl gets a whole 120 lb bale in her feed "dish"....

Heres what it looked like when we first built the shelter

the shelter is 24 x 24 When they replaced the fence she has 24 x 16 of the shelter the front eight feet I reserved for feed room Shes an air fern so she only eats bermuda... But I plan on housing goats in her corrral for company and want to set up a separate area for them to feed that she cant mooch out...

That old bale and pallet is cleared now

I will get pictures. eventually

And I thought my dutchie hatch was finished I had as of yesterday morning 8 of the 11 eggs hatched figuring the last three was no good I said I'll let them stay until Saturday when the others are scedualed to start then I'll have given them a chance just in case well I woke up about 1am looked at the incubator and temp and humidity was good so I got up bathroom and a bite to eat came back in checking my phone for all I missed and some little face caught my eye and my first thought was my other eggs were hatching but noo! Two more of my dutchie eggs are hatching one was looking at me the other one has piped and in the process of zipping out as I type. I was in shock I now have 10 of 11 eggs hatch from a cold abandoned nest and I mean theveggs were cold to the touch I would say under 40degrees so miricals do happen!
