I just finished scaling Mount Snow, through the Pass of Caradhras, to fill the wild bird feeders.
The cats and the birds should be pleased.
Under the giant pile of snow in front of my house is my kitchen garden.
I think I'll wait another week to start my tomato seeds.

Those goldfish are nearly seven years old. The pond is lined with a piece from our old above ground pool that was smashed by a fallen tree a few years ago. The fish were in a much smaller pond from lowes.

Even Gold fish live as long as Koi.... Love em. I keep Gold fish in the horses water trough. They keep the insects in line. Never have to feed them because they graze on the algae on the walls of the tub and eat any mosquitoes. In 110 gallon I start with about five.
My neighbor Tom used to have a big galvanized stock pond around six feet in diameter.... about two feet deep and it was stocked with gold fish and Reeds and cattails .... The frogs just showed up one day....I didnt even know frogs existed here in the desert. Toads yes bot not frogs.

its going to be pretty....This is from last summer. I still have to finish lining it with rocks.
Love love it.... Love Gronk.... I didnt even think about the whole predator issue for the fish. Glad I dont feed em.I don't feed my fish. They eat insects and algae. If you feed them they start coming to the surface whenever they see a shadow, thinking they're going to get fed. A predator could snap them up.
