Yep, right up there with Chocolate and Pizza.

We got a break in the rain today and actually saw some sunshine this afternoon. Naturally, with two days of rain the grass needed mowed/baled. I wish the garden would start to sprout so I could take a hoe to the weeds.

My bright spot this week was when I pried my broody Buff O hen off her 5 eggs so she would eat and poo and did a quick candling. She is sitting on eggs from my OEGB pullets and sure enough, all 5 are fertile and developing.

Well I LOVED Guardian's of the Galaxy mainly Groot & Drax. The new movie Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2 opens May 5th. I can hardly wait!! My brother too. I did buy a small, stuffed Groot and he is so stinkin' cute, I got my brother one as well.

Can't wait here as well. So good! Caught up on the first on Netflix so we'd be ready for Guardians Vol. 2.

I just figured out today that the "more" button on the top right corner of this window displays a bunch more editing tools.

Better late than never I guess?

I just had 2 chicks hatch tonight out of the eggs I purchased; one barred rock and one either Ameraucauna or EE...out of a blue egg either way. I calibrated my thermometers...twice! But they were telling temps off from where the incubator was set from last time. The temps too low and a good portion of the hatch died off. It took them until 10-14 days to show the repercussions. I corrected the temps to what I thought it should be right away. I'm amazed I got any chicks at all, but I do like that they're tough embryos. I think there's still 6 eggs left...time will tell If they hatch.

I'm guessing two males; the rock chick has undefined white on the head and the other is straight yellow...no chipmunking. My girls are usually chipmunks.

My boys...yellow. I need more roosters...

My smooth SG is getting ready to go broody again. Making those cluck cluck sounds, growling sounds, and flaps her wings a lot. Her tell tell signs. Spring and late fall, like a clock in that little brain.

They are dewberries. They grow on vines low to the ground and ripen early, long before the blackberries. They also don't have as many thorns as blackberries. They grow wild all over here in Arkansas. The fruit look like blackberries, but taste sweeter.

Oh my goodness...Louis L'Amour! My husband had boxes and small suitcases of those books. He finally gave them up..to the library.

I have most of his books, most of which I reread every so often. I ,also, liked "Haunted Mesa" My favorite is "The Walking Drum". I think he planned to write a sequal to it but died before he could. He also wrote several mystery books and some very good sports books. He wrote several of the better Hop-along Cassidy books.
