The Old Folks Home

Frankly, any medical test is only as good as the professionals that are at the controls. Negative experiences such as the one I had is a perfect example of what happens when you are dealing with diagnosticians who know just enough to be dangerous. Do mammograms save lives? Sure they do. Do they give false positives on occasions that causes women to undergo procedures that they don't need? Yes to that also. They say an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure though. What we really need to stress is living a healthy lifestyle, keeping your weight down, exercising and eating healthy is what we can all do to help keep ourselves healthy. Whether it's a person with a family or genetic predisposition for cancer or like me and carry a strong family predisposition for heart disease and already has Rheumatic Heart disease, the more we do to tip the scales in our favor, the healthier our bodies are the better our chances to live long and prosper when problems do pop up.

Hope to see everyone again, on the other side. Not the rainbow bridge(yet) but back on the new conversion and saying "it wasn't so bad after all." Meanwhile I'll wait it out right here

I'm with you diva...I am challenged by the BYH format and if that is what we end up with in the new BYC I am not sure I am willing to even try. Hope they do a cheat sheet that tells us how to do, in the new world order, what we are able to do in the old one.

Well since I am old, hope they do a LARGE PRINT CHEAT SHEET. I HATE MY BIFOCALS.

This is worse than the Y2K , think it was called - the worry was in re: the computers & high tech stuff wouldn't recognize the year 2000 and the world as we knew it would end.

My son was emailing his friends around the world to see what happened in their time zone. Don't blame my influence on that, I didn't know what Y2K was. Could have been WD40 for all I knew.
