Good morning everyone!:frow

Question: I've wondered this for years. Can you use ivomec (or an ivermectin derivative) "pour on" on goats? I always would wanted to be able to use it on sheep, but we can't because of the lanolin...it was drench or injectable. I use the drench. I've never been able to ask that question, I don't know anyone with goats.. I'm simply curious...lol. :D
Injectable is the way to go.

Goats need a heavy dose... the pour on doesn't do much.

Thank you Bunny. We got hit hard again last night but except for a little "logging" in our woods and a bit of damage to our run fence by another attempted bear visit during the rain, we're all good :thumbsup

Hate bears...

SO BLASTED STRONG!!!!

They peal back plywood like potato chips.

I just got up so this may be moot.....research off lable uses for goats. I believe it can be used but you need to verify it....

@casportpony may know for sure

I know of no reason that you couldn't use it on goats.

As I said above. You can use it on goats. .... just not very effective.
Is moxidectin pour on more effective?

Edited to add:
@Alaskan , sorry I did not see your reply.

Disclaimer - I know nothing about goats!

Not familiar with that one.

But from what I understand the pour on types can get some of the external parasites on goats, but just are a very poor choice against internal.

Because of the rumen. ..the injectables are the best wide spectrum.
