The Old Folks Home

Morning everyone. I think some folks may be still wandering around BYH. I know I'm guilty of that too.

I went from having someone else's attachment page to having no attachment page at all but I know I'm not alone. Nifty has let me know they are trying to correct it.

Well, another night of severe storms. This time only damage was internet down till a little while ago and a few power blinks. Think I'm going to have to check into an electric fence as well. So far the bear haven't made it thru my run fence but it's not for lack of trying. Must have come in under cover of the storm last night and put another nice bend in the top.

Hoping that some of the missing folks isn't because of all the storms. Praying they are all safe!

I've been a member over on BYH for years, so some of this stuff looks very familiar, but there are doo-dads here that I keep learning about. For example - there are a couple of buttons over on the right next to the slider that are like the express elevator - the "up" one takes you to the top of the page, the "down" one takes you to the bottom. I don't know what it's called, but at the bottom of the page and near the top are bars that show the levels of nested forums - "Home, Forums, Social, Random Ramblings" in this case - and there's a little icon that looks sorta like a "three balls" pawnshop thingy (except they are squares, not balls). That's a "quick navigation" button; clicking on it brings up a menu that makes jumping from forum to forum or whatever a whole lot faster. Kinda like my phone, I'm starting to love this . . . .
Wow!!! thank you Bunny!!! I never even noticed the arrows and had NO CLUE what the thing that looks like an old pharmacy (aka apothecary) sign thingy was for!

I just spent three painful days trying to convince my computer that it had to go to the NEW BYC page and not the old one. We tried everything and nothing worked till my brilliant DH said, let's try rebooting the modem. BINGO! To quote a phrase. I'm baaaaaack!

All Hughesnet, it's a love hate relationship at best.

So good morning everyone! I had four chicks hatch out of 5 and survive in the interim. OEGB hen is still on her 4 eggs. We had wind gusts to 47 yesterday so being outside was a trip. It was fun watching the hummingbirds trying to navigate to the feeder. Poor little things could hardly hoover in place.

Other than that, SSDD. Hope everyone is well.
