The Old Folks Home

scg, and dsq, that quilt is amazing.

deb, you keep getting better all the time with your jewelry making.

Al, if your eldest does decide to go away for college, we don't have to go through the "foreigner with a van lurking at the airport" thing again, do we?

chicki, I don't know a lot about bears other than what I've read, but I think I would be attaching my tuna cans to my electric fence, to re-train the bears to stay away.

Morning one and all. We got some much needed rain overnight. Lots of lightening and thunder with it which I love when it's dark out. Not severe stuff but just a good old fashioned thunder shower with areal displays and sonic booms to go along with it along with the sound of rain on the metal roof.

:hugs's for You and do try some hot coffee or tea, it does help. :hugs
Scott
Thanks, Scott. I consume LOTS of coffee

That's my favorite kind of rain :):pop

This is her 5th litter of kits. She has never acted like this with me or anyone else. I had her food bowl at the front of the cage to be able to feed her and she moved it back. Now she lets me feed her in the morning but later she don't want me messing with her bowl. And she runs out of food. This is a extra large dog kennel that I moved turkey in. I moved her because her cage was not going to be large enough for her and a litter of kits. Last year we used a huge chicken brooder that was 4' x 12' and she did not mind us holding the kits even. I have a friend that want's one of these kit's for a pet for her grand-daughter so I need to be able to handle them from the get go. So any suggestions?

:barnie Lost my quotes, twice! I think this was answered/quoted/replied but I just can't see it. :hit My thoughts are she's more protective because the area is smaller.

And I just can't say enough good things about kennels! SO handy...for everything! I'm a sales lurker and keep picking up used/new kennels on sale. I plan to move the chicks out today IF I can get to it. Moving them into...a kennel! Yay!:ya
