The Old Folks Home

I know I have to get to the dentist. I take good care of my teeth but some have broken because of my fillings and my fillings are falling out. I had a good dentist and he got cancer so he was not practicing for a while. When he came back he had a young dentist practicing with him, who I then went to. I like him even better. He moved to the big city (There are only two cities in Manitoba ) and our other dentist passed away.

Give me needles. Take my blood. Give me intravenous. I watch the needle being given...doesn't bother me one bit. Dentists...not my idea of fun.

When I was in grade 4, the dentist drilled 6 cavities and filled them...with no freezing. I'm fine once I have a good dentist. It's the in between part of finding someone new who's good. I would love to go to the young dentist I like so much. It's a 4 hour drive. hmm.png

My garden is loving all this rain we are getting. My plants are loaded with baby squash, cucumbers and tomatoes. The cantaloupe and watermelon are full of blooms.View attachment 1025657
Strawberries were looking pretty sad so I added some rabbit pellets and moved them under the pear tree so they would get morning shade and they love it. Lot's more berries and blooms.

Wicked I love your garden - neat, clean, no weeds. The weeds in my yard are shoulder height (okay so I'm only 4'11") I planned to blast them with weed killer
but couldn't find the hose. Either the weeds demolished it or have buried it.

It was too windy anyway. I figured I would try since NO RAIN today. I will not get another break for a week or more.

The chickens have been keeping the weeds down...very helpful.:clap It's surprising how much they scratch there....lol.

But once we rescued the lawn and garden equipment from being rooster roosts :sick and cleaned it :sick (that was some thick poo, NOT going to do that again)...I did attack the garden with the old machine. So it has been freshly tilled.

If this farm wouldn't have had a riding tiller...yeah, it wouldn't get done. DH was spraying the weeds down in the garden, but now with the chickens...I don't want him to spray close to them. The chickens keep everything black under the trees where he was spraying before so he doesn't have to now.:yesss: We can even see where the chickens, guineas and rabbits are eating enough grass to keep it down...that area can miss every second mow...lol.

Thanks getaclue, chicki and wickedc.
getaclue I store my seeds in envelopes in my fridg. I have had good luck with seeds for up
to 7 years. I also collect my seeds each year from my vegies.

I'm so sorry chicki and wickedc that it's not warm enough for you to plant yet.
Your season will come. :D
