The Old Folks Home

Happy Monday to you too!
On second thought...I think I'd be too scared to go out if there was a bear.
Thank you Wicked! We are used to the bears. Actually they are our closest neighbors and we were aware when we decided to live here that we were moving into THEIR neighborhood.
BTW-nice shiny windchimes seem to help deter the flying predators, bears, not so much. I guess now they have become "baby" toys as well.

DH is awake like a clock at 5am. I wake up between 4-6am...depending on when I get to sleep. If it isn't nature calling it's something hurting for me.

I wonder if that's the same for most people...waking up early?

Edited: I think I meant to write the same for most people as we're getting older. I know I can't sleep like I used to in bed. Now I just fall asleep everywhere else. sleep.gif

HAPPY MONDAY
we were woke up at 2 am this morning by Angel barking and howling to find a big momma bear AND her two cubs in the Jackpine tree next to our back porch trying to get the bird feeder I had intentionally hung too high for a bear to reach from the ground. Half awake, trying to get my brain to work, I was able to figure out what was causing all the racket because the very large windchime I have (had) hanging in the tree was swinging wildly even tho there was no wind. I Aimed my flashlight and there was one of the cubs on the limb it was hanging on knocking it around and trying to pull it up! The little stinker! Needless to say my poor windchime soon went crashing to the ground with the pipes scattered at the base of the tree. Both of the little furry brats were "huffing" at me the whole time I was yelling at them to go back into the woods but one at a time the whole family backed down out of the tree and scampered off. The cubs were cute, the huge momma, not so much LOL. What was really funny was an old lady in her nightgown and the old man in his boxer shorts, standing on their back porch in the middle of the night with flashlights yelling at a tree!!!
The best part is that you were yelling at a tree to GO BACK TO THE WOODS!!! lol!! Poor tree might wish it had!

I sent in for the Ancestry.com genetic test and found out that I am not German pretty much at all! I am 43% Great Briton and 32% Irish. A large part of Great Briton is also Irish so I am likely more than 32% Irish.

Something Hinky went on with the German side of my Family....
