The Old Folks Home

Me too!

We have not had a kitchen sink since Saturday and will not have one for the foreseeable future...
Better than no bath or shower  what we had when I redid our downstairs bathroom, complete gut job, and took way longer than expected. Not sure which DW liked the least, kitchen was also complete no walls floor down to the beams. I remember her saying she was sick of doing the dishes in the bathtub :lau

I went into lockdown today. Dh was headed out the door to work, when he told me to come check the incubator. He was pretty sure he didn't bump the table the incubator was on, but maybe he did, because the eggs were rocking a little. As we were looking, 1 pipped through the shell. Yes, the eggs are rocking, but he didn't bump the table.
:fl

clams are close to gold I like shopping that way also keep extra of everything do not let anything get to the last one
My FIL's brother once brought us a cooler full of fresh dug clams. The good one's also (I'm not particular, will eat any, but it was awesome!) Quite different than the normal clam bake, nice yummy little necks, but all different sizes, don't usually see that when you buy them in a store.

The chick that pipped, is now out of the egg. It's a day and a half early, but the yolk sac was fully absorbed.

It cheeped a bit, floundered around a little, then settled down, and is resting now.

Love the pics, Alaskan. I'm looking at them and thinking, whow, they are wearing winter gear while we are hanging out in summer shorts and tank tops. Then it dawns on me, spring in Alaska! What a concept!

Here, if it is above 60 it is summer.

We had maybe a week of summer. ..but are now back to 50s.

The day of the super low tide it was overcast and in the 50s. No wind though, so a great day.

They looking for gold or clams?

There are lots of places around with gold (little bits only :( ), and we did dig up and play with some clams, but then put them back. I don't like them that much.. and anyway it isn't legal to harvest them from the beach we were on.

It is even illegal to take seaweed from the beach we were on.
