The Old Folks Home

The orignal term was "Jack Booted Thug" http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=jack booted thug
""Jack booted thugs stormed in, broke my furniture, kicked my dog, and took my still.""

Watch them keets the way they run... If another keet is in the way he/she will get booted right over.... :lau

deb
gig.gif Ok...I get it now and yes...very accurate. I particularly like this part in the definition:
" often denotes violent tendencies" Yes. That completely describes Satan's stock. If they keep it up...I'm separating them from the other keets. :smack

I saw one of the adults come barreling out and run over one of the white females. Ooooh...ouch! I don't think it meant to...she was just in the way. They are the funniest (as in strange) birds ever. I think that only endears them to me even more.:love
I like punishment?:lau

Better than no bath or shower  what we had when I redid our downstairs bathroom, complete gut job, and took way longer than expected. Not sure which DW liked the least, kitchen was also complete no walls floor down to the beams. I remember her saying she was sick of doing the dishes in the bathtub :lau
Today's goal it to get the igniter working on the water heater. It is an Ultra Nox water heater from GE and it has a reputation for melting the igniter were. It is also sealed so you can't use a regular lighter.

I did get the stove back in last night and a couple of faucet valves replaced in the bathroom. Making progress!

I was trying to play catchup, I was like 6 pages behind, had done a bunch of multi-quotes, started to reply and then all but Al's disappeared!!! Worse, I suddenly found myself on the BYH forum! What??? Oh well, anyway,,,,

Congrats on the hatch
cute butt pic :love

Sorry about Murphy's law taking over on the remodel Ron

I still agree on hating Marek's

Not even attempting the Avatar thing but hope you succeed

Spring? We totally skipped spring! We went from frost/freeze right to July!
It is SCORCHING HOT here! We don't "do" scorching hot in frozen tozen land!
We still have a ton of work to do in the coop today, putting up the insulation, then inner walls and finishing the ceiling, the wire dividing "wall" for the brooder, hanging the sliding barn door hardware for the door, trim, paint the new side, scrub down the old side, etc. and it's supposed to be in the high 80's the entire weekend (we rarely hit high 80's and never in June!) and we are under a sever storm watch for tomorrow.
GOOD GRIEF MOTHER NATURE! There is no way we are going to get the steel siding up in time before our several days of expected storms hit so I've got to get outside and slap some paint on the exterior plywood before getting back to work on the inside while DH finishes screwing down the steel roofing.
Did I mention the chicks ship on Monday???:th

Have a great weekend all you peeps :love

:weeThe water heater is lit!

Now on to getting the refrigerator moved and hooked up to water!

I remember about 8 years ago, DH and I were remodeling our bathroom in our second house. We tore everything out, put down ceramic tile, new jacuzzi bath tub, new sink. It was about 9 pm and the last thing we had to do was put in the new toilet. DH asked me to hand him the flange bolts, I passed them over to him and managed to drop one down the drain. We both set there on the floor and stared at that dark hole. I invented a few new curse words and asked him if he had any spare flange bolts. Of course, he didn't which meant no toilet in a one bath house until the next morning when we could run into town and buy new ones.

When I commented that 'I need to GO! NOW! DH handed me a roll of TP and a shovel.

Add remodeling to my hate list.
