Well the one baby that I was talking about last night she's a little better this morning she's chirping and eating and pooping and moving around and I am keeping her warm is this the way she should act

Morning all!
Calling for temps near ninety here again today so we are off to the woods again. Hopefully one more cord of wood will have us where we need to be. I'll need to take pictures of our wood supply when we are finished.
The Amish kinda chuckle at us working so hard in the heat to gather wood when they do it in the late fall and winter where it can "warm you up twice" as one told us. Frankly, the idea of being out splitting wood, chain sawing and hauling in 20 degree high temp days just isn't as appealing when you are in your 60s.

Well I just got the phone with an wildlife rehabilitation person they said to keep on feeding it catfood and keeping it warm and feeding it every 30 mins and they recommend me to take it to a rehabilitation center and let them handle it but I told them that I am taking care of it and turning it back into the wild he said i understand and then he said u have to have a permit to care for these kind of birds and baby's and I said thank u so that is some good news for today I am so happy right now

They want they press of the baby kept alive they want the donations it may bring...
I admit that rescues are better prepared they have the run pretty solid lets face it average Joe would not have time, expense or patience sometimes rescues are a bit full of themselves

If you will mix equal portions of green beans in with the cat food, and toss in a few Tums, it will do better, and get the nutrition it needs for later on too. If you can, toss in a multivitamin. It can have iron, just not extra iron. The ones with extra iron, usually say so on the front.
