The Old Folks Home

Wrist is much better. I'm just glad we got her in the barn before this storm hit. I just moved the youngest chicks out of their little run. They sleep in a cat carrier and rain always gets in it so now they and the carrier are on the porch. I also noticed that something tried to dig its way into their area last night. Probably the same animal that tore the trash up all over the yard. Sigh.
Just no rest for the weery is there mawmaw.

Looks like it's gonna be a coffee all day kinda day. So not looking forward to more rain.
I'm having another cup myself at the moment. Nothing but rain here too! It's getting chilli n damp in here so I'm probably gonna fire up the wood stove and put on a pot stew for later and just sit by the stove and veg today. ;)

The ol' parlor stove. lol looks ruff, hope to get it refinished at some point but it's a great stove and nice to have on days like today in particular.
Get it rolling tho and it'll damn near run ya out of the house, it puts out some serious heat for such lil stove. ;)

Thanks you. I've seen what some of the setups you guys have. Mine doesn't quite hold a candle...lol. It works for the moment...sort of. View attachment 1050437
Oh lord...My set up couldn't hold a candle if it wanted too....There's a reason we've been given the nickname "the croods" by family.lol

The storm clouds are gathering here too. We've had rain just about every evening for at least 2 weeks now. Looks like it may not wait until evening today. Good day for laundry, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning the bathrooms, etc., IF there is really ever a "good" day for those things.

Saliva and Disturbed...:yesss:

I thought $110 for Bon Jovi was bad enough. o_O

:yesss:

I listen to most everything...but heavy metal, specifically nu metal I guess it's called, like Saint Ansonia. :love I've missed Disturbed the last two times they've been touring and they had Saint Ansonia opening for them! :he:he:he Halestorm...awesome band not usually on the radar. They performed in Minot, ND...couldn't make it. :barnie

Not heavy at all but so incredibly fun and amazing...I just looked up a song two days ago on YouTube by Walk Off the Earth. I was blown away. So incredibly fun, talented and cool with what they do. They have their own music and I guess they do covers too...like this one.

Oh that just brings a smile to my face..... :D:love
