Hope everyone is doing well..in the heat? We are in the heat!! No fun. Had to buy another cooler. Triple digits, hitting all time highs for our state. Yes, we have had fires.

Our kids are still here..sort of. They come and go a lot. Have friends up north they go visit. This last time they took their R.V....it died on the way there! Our daughter in law is expecting..it's hot..thank goodness her friends got there pretty quick. Our son had an ins. on it that would pay for it to be hauled to an R.V. place. Well, that will take time. These things hardly ever have many miles on them. This one only has 58,000 on it. She said it just started to die..while driving. Eeek. Got to the side thank goodness. It would stop, but not go. Hoping it's an easy fix. In the meantime, they are staying at their friends place until it is fixed. It has been quiet. Our son comes home for the night here..he works out this way. Have to say, I miss those snuggles from my baby girl. She's two. Such a doll. She did the cutest thing during fireworks. She will plug her ears, but, she does it in a really different way! Check it out..she pulls her earlobes up over the hole....lol

So, grandpa went and got something for her. She kept them on!

I think that's the coolest candling pic I've seen! I hope it's ok I booked marked it and saved it to show my family. The duckling was just...hang'n around...lol.

I went back and edited it, made sure all the i's were dotted and t's crossed, clicked Save and it still wouldn't show the response. GRRRRRR!

My trio of little feathered urchins are doing great. I mix them up about a tablespoon of chick starter, add a little scrambled egg and warm water to it. I sit it in their brooder, tap my finger in it and cluck at them like a broody calling them to the food bowl and chaos ensues. I just love watching them grow.

Awwww, that was sweet. Good kids indeed!

If it is frizzled, it is not something I planned. It just happens to be the only one that "should" turn out to be a royal purple...and if it's from my royal purple female...she's such a nice guinea. Not an evil bone in her body.

I was taking stock to make sure the wee oegbs were doing well among the giant EE chicks. That's when I noticed it look'n like a porcupine.
