Yeah, and God forbid Lassie ever trotted across the yard with a limp chicken dangling from her mouth like our ACD once did. To make matters worse, it was before we had chickens..... Bad Chicken!

Got invited to a party... drinking something Green named after an amphibian.... along with beer and what ever was being handed out.... Fell asleep at the picknic table... OR really passed out. This was at a campground ...A good story to go with it?
I can't understand how someone can go through all that and do it again. Yet they do. Sorry you had to go through all that. But at least no one was killed or injured. Now put it behind and get to the enjoying part. Depression is a rocky road for us.Got invited to a party... drinking something Green named after an amphibian.... along with beer and what ever was being handed out.... Fell asleep at the picknic table... OR really passed out. This was at a campground ...
Someone finally shouted out their RV window... You guys GO HOME... I stood up got to my car and proceeded to begin the drive back to Jacumba... didnt turn my lights on... made it to the freeway...
the officers were nice... Drunk tank was ikky.... I called mom after she got done yelling I sat with the rest.... there were about six gals in a ten by ten... no door on the potty...
Sat there till the sun came up and they released me... Court and fines and assignments yata yata.... I deserved it all.
The following year was an education and a half. I couldnt drive unless I was going to AA meetings... or to work.... Or to a first offenders course... Untill I finished that course I couldnt even go to the grocery store.
Once the course was complet and signed off I had to do community service Which ment picking up Garbage along the freeway. Because I walked with a cane then they allowed me to do my service at one of the local parks... I pulled weeds from around baby trees.
Then i had to complete two AA meetings a week for Three months. I chose a regular meeting local at the fire department. And another about twenty miles away. at a place called Freedom Ranch. Freedom Ranch was a facility where men who were recently out of prison or Trying to get their act straight to keep out of prison. They had a couple of meetings a week that were open to the public.
After that I had to have an SR22 on my drivers license.... If I was pulled over and I had no insurance the car would get impounded immediately... SR22 usually causes your insurance rates to go up. I have an excellent insurance agent he took care of me as best as he could. When I started the program the limit was 7 years to have an SR22.. When I finished the program California upped it to TEN.
The cost went from a couple of thousand a year later the cost for the whole program went to TEN THOUSAND. My Ten year period ended last year.
I no longer drink outside of home.... Period. My recent diagnosis of Diabedes and Depression and the meds I now take for them has ended that.
Not proud... I was 52 now I am 62 finally learned something.

Absolutely freaking Adorable.....It takes a lot of courage to tell those stories, ladies.Thank you for sharing them with us. Unfortunately, lessons learned the hard way are the ones that generally stick with us.
Yesterday was my 64th birthday. It was a good day. I didn't do anything except relaxe and eat cake.
How do you like my new avatar? It came courtesy of my SIL who sent me a birthday card with the little ballerina hen on the front of it. Suddenly I had a picture that screamed avatar at me. Here is the picture of the card.![]()
I just thought she was adorable.
