The Old Folks Home

I just got home and turns out the chickens attacked the goats and sacrificed them to an angry eclipse god.

I knew I should have taken the day off to be home with them.

Apparently Latte ran around in such a panic she strained something in her shoulder, and Sunny was so distressed she tried to cut her own throat. No, wait . . . . those injuries occurred the day before. Stupid horses; can't even get the date right.:th

Just so y'all know, I need to report that "best used by" dates are sometimes erroneous. I made up a vanilla pudding with a best used by date of 2012 and I'm here to report that it tastes just fine :drool My next rendition will be a lemon pudding with a BUB date of 2005 :D I then have one final packet of lemon pudding with no BUB date at all (I think it dates back to the late 20th century... like the 1980s.:oops:)

I'm sorry that was my bad attempt at humor. I saw so many articles about not staring into the sun and how to protect your animals that I just assumed they'd start a bloody sacrificial ritual to a sun or moon god...

Unfortunately they didn't get caught up in the news hysteria and all appears normal outside.

My husband is a history teacher and was offering to sacrifice a student to make the sun come back... They didn't take him up on it...

Or, if you turn up dead, we know it's that pack of lemon pudding with no date on it!

There was an article recently that said that label requirements are to add a shelf life date on food no matter if it ever expires or not. For example, bottled water has a shelf life on it even though it really does not expire...If in a plastic bottle it will pick up a plastic taste which is not really fatal if you drink it.(I am not saying that you should normally drink it but you could in an emergency).
