The Old Folks Home

I worked my tail feathers off yesterday. It was extremely hot out, too. I got the youngsters moved out into their pen in the coop. By yesterday evening, they had settled in nicely, and seemed quite content in their new home. They did well through the night, and the little cockerel was taking his turn "crowing" this morning. I have crowing in quotes, because he's still developing his crow.

My daughter should be arriving any minute now, and I will babysit my youngest grandchild for a couple hours.

Yup wearing it to work today.
Nice!
I wear my chillin with my peeps BYC shirt to work sometimes. The Students on Campus like it a lot!

I am watching a movie called America Fable. It is a great movie because the main character is a girl that looks to be about 10 and she rides on her bike with an araucana! It even has tufts and looks rumpless! She went to her pen and said: "Lets blow this joint"! and took off with the hen on her bike....I hope they show one of the egg soon. It should be a very nice blue color...Who cares what the rest of the movie is about....

I dreamed of my Aunt, my Father and my Papillon, Jenny last night. All have passed on. Someone kidnapped the dog and cut her hair and dyed her fur blue! So weird. Also dreamed we bought a big house/ restaurant on the ocean down south. The fish in the water were amazing! I really wanted to feed them, but everyone said it was illegal. Dreams are so strange. Then i grabbed a longhorn cow which only had one horn and broke it off. Didn't even bleed! No wonder i enjoy sleeping.

SCG, when I get the horses moved to my place, I'm going to start trying to tend the small cemetery out there. It only has maybe 2-3 headstones, the rest are just fieldstone markers, but I would like to go in there and clean it down (any advice on getting grass and brush away from the markers without disturbing them?) to short grass or maybe even dirt so I can see what is in there. There is one Peony and one Rosebush that I will keep, but I may strip the rest to dirt and put mulch in to make it a little easier to maintain unless that's a no-no with cemeteries. If I post pictures, would you mind looking them over and see if you have any pointers?

Wait a minute, you are not going to believe it, i have not been working on the coop! Shopping today, needed more hinges and paint. And cat vaccine. Called around about getting the cat spayed, the local vet wants over $100. At the clinic it is $45. Guess where i will go if i can get through to get an appointment? They kept putting me on hold and then not answering. Probably crazy busy. My cat keeps going into season every couple of weeks and she meows all night long. In my bedroom. I considered putting her in the storage building last night, but i figured it would be too hot out there. Poor cat. She is a better pet since she had kittens, and they are great fun to watch and cuddle. I am sure DH has not enjoyed it like i have.
