The Old Folks Home

Downright stunning. All the curves seem pretty much perfect, really hard to believe you're doing this by hand.

How long did that one take you to do?
the actual weaving only takes a few hours... Like about eight to ten. The deciding on a design takes for ever. Research looking at other designs... taking parts I like and adapting....

Because of the stones size I wasnt comfortable using 20 gauge base wire and 26 gauge weaving wire. It would have been far less painful to make with these smaller diameter wires... to my fingers.

But it needed 18 gauge and 24 gauge so I worked till my fingers got sore and put it down. Makes em toughen up big time though.

I have two more Labradorites to do... One is smaller one is larger...

Happy Labor Day All!

I am cooking up some baby back ribs today and bread is baking in the oven!

It smells so good! Today I made flour from hard red wheat and used star thistle honey.

Lunch is going to be so good! and then dinner, Oh Boy! Baby Back Ribs!
