It was like a dateing thing. Went over with a group, they met a group, all safely and publicly. Few dates get to know each other, he went back over a couple more times met the family and eventually married her over there and then a long process before she got to move here. Made it easier beings most of them know English already. I think it cost him some $$ , was a long haul truck driver at the time so he had it.
We did pick on him quite a bit, especially over the long process of moving her here, "Yeah right your just waiting for her to turn 18 ain't ya! Lol"

Wow, my son and his wife and 4 kids are on the way here from FL! That will definitely change up our routine. Glad they are getting out of the path of that monster storm!

Check with any custom woodworking places as well. Anywhere that uses a laythe will have fine shavings/sawdust for cheap or free. The one near me has a lot of horse people come get the sawdust, so they even tarp the sawdust pile when they are working with walnut to keep it out of the rest of the pile. Walnut shavings can actually kill a horse if they stand on them too long...

be careful not all wood is safe to use... and not just Cedar either....

Hope all in FL and GA are prepared as best can be. This is gonna be a real goober of a storm. Since it's widser than the state of FL, and is gonna move right up the length of it, there are gonna be a lot of folks suffering. I didn't think it was gonna hit SW Alabama, so you should be OK there Chicka... By the time it clears GA, it should be just a serious rain issue for those in TN and around there. I feel for the folks out in the northern Lesser Antilles... they got pounded by cat 5 Irma and are about to get nailed again by a cat 4 in Jose Then there's the cat 2, Katia that's hitting southern Mexico. Gonnabe a lot of folks hurtin' Glad your son and family had someplace to run to Cap. And you get some quality grandkid time out of it.

Yes, they can fish, go on canoe rides, learn to light a fire, roast marshmallows and hot dogs, feed the animals, plant seeds go for walks etc. They are going to get their exercise!
