The Old Folks Home

FIL gave me a old, looks antique, squeezo food strainer, didn't even know they had one or I'd had borrowed it. He's a awesome gardener but has never had good luck with tomatoes. I've been giving him tons of maters for a few yrs now. Those Park's whopper improved I'm growing are just amazing, way bigger and nicer than the Early girls. I've ate a tomato or more a day on sandwiches for a month now, and given many away.
Used that squeezo thing today, holy cow it was awesome! I usually scaled and peel, can or freeze, that squeezo thing was so awesome, all seeds and skin spit out the end, chickens loved it.
Boiled down a gallon of sauce today.

I don't eat raw tomatoes and the primary reason is because of the seeds. I love real tomato sauce, and when there was more than just me, I grew tomato plants and made sauce that I would freeze. Problem was, like you, I'd scald the tomatoes to peel them then have to squeeze out all the seeds (or as many as I could) before putting them in the pot for sauce. Could you post a pic of this squeezo thing? Maybe provide an actual name? If it works as you described on raw tomatoes, I absolutely need to find one!

I love beefsteak tomatoes and cherry tomatoes but i am going to try some different ones too. Going to try growing from seed again.
I have the little yellow tomatoes. I planted them one year and now I just transplant the ones that the chickens plant. This year they gave me 17 plants. I make spicy yellow tomato jam that my family eats on everything.
