@Wickedchicken6

Your avatar makes me giggle. Thanks!
It makes me giggle too! I thought I'd go for the appearance of being "sweet" before October shows up and all the wicked comes out. ;)

For some reason it makes me think of @Cynthia12...I hope it wasn't one of her pics. I don't remember where it came from. :oops:

I don't eat raw tomatoes and the primary reason is because of the seeds. I love real tomato sauce, and when there was more than just me, I grew tomato plants and made sauce that I would freeze. Problem was, like you, I'd scald the tomatoes to peel them then have to squeeze out all the seeds (or as many as I could) before putting them in the pot for sauce. Could you post a pic of this squeezo thing? Maybe provide an actual name? If it works as you described on raw tomatoes, I absolutely need to find one!

Cleaning the coops. Ugh. I have that on the list for this week. DH uses my coop offerings to fertilize the pastures he uses for his RC flying field. SInce I deep litter that stuff will grow anything. Hopefully since I cleared the hens that are laying regularly out of the main coop, I can boot the bantams out and get the main coop cleaned.

Rain tonight and tomorrow through tomorrow night so as soon as the sun comes out I gotta get to it. The chickens are to the point that they are greeting me at the door holding a shovel. I tell em they messed it up they can clean it up but they ain't buyin it.

The siding is on the front of the coop!View attachment 1138801

I like the guard dog, also.

Our Walker Coon Hound/Border Collie (we think) mix does the same thing only I think he's contemplating capitol murder with dinner in mind.

Wooohooo! :clap

You just got done siding your coop...we just got done cleaning our coop.
:sick...what a job.
I need to do that in the little area my chicks are in. With 24 chicks, it gets poopy pretty fast. Gross. That stuff is going into my newly built pallet compost bin. I just need to finish up the front and maybe put some chicken wire on to keep the leaves in.

I was afraid Mini would try to eat the chickens and guineas but she is really good with them. I held them for her to sniff and get the scent. She seems to know i am in charge of the animals. She even brings me live baby wild bunnies!
