I've been in charge of the pharmacy part of the flu season for 6 years now. It's my job to send out the needed information about the available vaccines and any pertinent info on the flu to all our hospital and clinic employees and I also field weird questions throughout the season. I feel like the Flu Queen some days.
I got my shot today - regular dose, quadrivalent. I didn't cry, which is a first for me. I had my regular nurse shoot me, but the nurse that's been holding me down the last few years retired in January, so I had to acquire a new nurse holder this time. She got a blanket and used it like a straitjacket and then also hugged me and held me down. IT WORKED GREAT.
