I had to have a tube put in my ear, and the discharge was mostly clear at first but became pus over time. It gets old having liquid draining out your ear. I take allergy medication every day and use nasal spray twice a day. I have had this tube in over a year. Lost hearing with all these infections too. And it makes me tired. I try to ignore it but now with a cold coming on it is difficult.View attachment 1155855

A couple of years ago my mom had liquid coming out of her ear--it wound up being allergies! She change allergy medicine and has not had that problem again
I'm pretty sure the three bills were mostly there but the biggest pieces were maybe the size of dimes with the majority much smaller. I'm actually surprised they sent me a check. There is actually a division Within the Federal Reserve devoted to "reconstructing" money. If you have More than Half a bill its considered legal tender.

Yeah, it's like every time I hand somebody something with my left hand they are thinking, man is she a klutz
I had ear infections when I was a kid, one after another for awhile. While I was working clinical years ago, I developed a horrible sinus infection. Every time I bent over it felt like something was trying to pound it's way out of the top of my head. I finally went to the doctor with it and no matter what we tried we couldn't get it under control. Finally they put me on Augmentin for something like 60 days and then reduced it to one tablet daily. It took forever to get that blasted infection under control and in all honesty, it never completely went away but went chronic and still flares up from time to time. And yes, it does go not to my ears but to my eustachian tubes causing my ear drums to bulge. One leaked fluid once. Very unpleasant. And my hearing is less than perfect due to the eustachian tube dis-function. I was told I'd be a good candidate for sinus surgery but even the doctor admitted it wouldn't be successful for longer than a few years or so.
So Cap,you have my sincere sympathy for what you are going through. I know you are miserable right now. Feel better.![]()
Thanks, i feel a bit better already. I think husband is just waiting for me to get back to work, lol. He works through anything, including migraines and kidney stones! I used to go to work no matter what unless i was puking. Now that i am retired, i feel like sleeping in and having a nap when i need one is just a great idea and promotes healing.
The featured article is for @CapricornFarm My coop page is barely startedHe worked through kidney stones?
I've heard guys say that it is the male version of labor and delivery without anesthetic .
He's muy hombre, Hondo!
I've worked with the pukes and Hersheys. Real fun, run to bathroom, heave, scrub my hands, run out, give insulin to somebody, run to the bathroom, deal with Hersheys, scrub hands, give another person insulin....repeat. I got through my noon med pass, tossed the other nurse my keys and told her that if I didn't show up for work the next day, call the morgue.
God thank you for letting me retire. Now when I'm sick, it's me, the sofa, a big glass of tea and the TV remote. I tell DH there are Banquet meat pies in the freezer, wake me when it's time to feed the chickens.
Ron! Congratulations on the coop write up. On my way to check it out now.
Yeah, I've used the ignore button before when I first joined the forum. Undid it when I decided that life was too short to hold grudges. Vowed never to use it again and I haven't.
Our DD#2 has no, or not functioning eustachian tubes. Lot's of ear infections when little bitty. First time they put in tubes, she's supposed to have them for life, or until they make permanent holes in her drums, DW freaked out and called them up when yucky was oozing out her ear. Perfectly normal they said with a ear infection, what the tubes are for.Yeah, it's like every time I hand somebody something with my left hand they are thinking, man is she a klutz!

My husband is the toughest person i have ever met. Yes, he did go to work while having stones. Peeing blood is a common thing for him. He has two sponge kidneys and forms huge stones. Sometimes he has to have ultrasound and sometimes they go in and get them. He is not a complainer either. Many times i have had to drag him to the ER. Once we were in a high speed car crash and both had busted ribs. I insisted on going to the hospital because my chest hurt. He just went along for the ride. The hospital failed to figure out i had busted ribs, so i went to the doctor. Husband had broken ribs and never bothered getting checked. I am pretty tough, two kids without anesthesia. Sewed up my own cut, set my own busted spiral fractured toe. But i don't hold a candle to how tough he is.He worked through kidney stones?
