the weather down here is not much different than when I was as a child even the old timers darn I am one of now recall warmer summers with windy wet Halloween

Jeffers Livestock has their Christmas catalogue out. Tons of interesting things in it. They have a heated chicken waterer , 3.3 gallons on sale. Has anyone tried this?

Our first average frost date is October 15. Looks like we may have one the end of next week, so a bit late but I'm glad for that! Today was a picture perfect fall day with bright sunshiney skies and mild temps....I had to work.

I use horizontal nipples in 5 gallon buckets I do have one in 2.5 gallon for little peeps only thing I use here

I remember one Halloween where the temp hit 80F. My son was so hot in his costume (he was Zorro) that we stopped and I had him take off his undershirt. It helped some but not enough. Besides Halloween is supposed to be gray & scary and cold and windy. It was none of those things.

Go to Canada. Used to have to practically put their snow suits on for trick or treat.

Don't they freeze?

Aquarium heaters work great keep the water warm keeps the nipples flowing had them freeze the first year then I learned
