You can add sand right into the paint, and paint it on your deck, and steps, OR you can paint, then toss handfulls of playground sand on the wet paint. Hose it off when it dries.

My mother never had her own pet as long as i knew her... until we lived with her for a year when dad died. Then she fell in love with my yorkie, Twinkle. They are inseparable now.

I miss my kitty. We adopted her when our neighbor passed away. She was so adament that her kitty not be taken to the shelter that she had put it in her will that the kitty was to be put down upon her death because she was from Poland and her only relative in this country was her niece, who loved the kitty but her son was deathly allergic so I promised her we would take care of her and find her a good home. Mizia (polish for cuddle) lived with us for many years until she succumbed to feline leukemia. I so much want to rescue another kitty but I can't talk my DH into it. He liked Mizia but he got stuck cleaning the litter box when I developed cancer and it was two years before my onc would let me clean it again. I think now he's afraid that I might go first and he would be back on litterbox duty.

I've never had stone soup. I will have to google it.
I like split pea soup. Do you add Worcestershire to yours?

There is a whole story that goes along with "stone soup" and a southern tradition, at least in my family's part of Kentucky. Haven't made it in many years. Takes lots of participants to do it right.
I love split pea, it's my personal favorite.

We're supposed to get 5+ inches of rain in the next 12hrs.
Hasn't started yet, so I'm going to try to get some stuff done outside today.

more snow for us. Flurries by daylight, heavier stuff by evening. A little early for the sticking stuff this year but since we had such a gorgeous autumn, I can hardly complain. Besides, the early snow this year just somehow feels right.

There is a lot more to do with the move to the new servers. Some of the article pages have html code stuck in them and the images either did not move over or are not linking to external storage correctly.

We have made good progress on the 600. We are about half way finished. I am going to work on another 50 today

Better you than me. I have absolutely no desire to get back into fighting those fires anymore. Besides, I have been out of it far too long to even know what I was doing and the residual chemo brain wouldn't help either. I'm now content to let you youngins fry your brains and nerves on those "challenges". Those once upon a time I did live for it too. Thank you, your efforts on our behalf is greatly appreciated, really.

Mashed potatoes, gravy, and home made meat loaf for supper. I also made meatballs for another night.

Since it was snowy, cold and a football day, our meal was a big pot of homemade chili and a big batch of skillet cornbread.

Ooooh, meatloaf! I came across some ground chuck in the outside freezer today that needs to be used up. It sounds like this week is going to be perfect meatloaf weather!

I am happy to do what is asked. Others on the team keep wanting to do more though. A couple of them are combining articles when a member made 7 or even 8 articles about building one coop. Me, I would leave them alone since that is what the member did.

I am waiting to hear from Sumi "toddler wrangler" says bout it. I tend to lean on the side of caution when messing with other peoples stuff...even when those members may not be active anymore

Here is what my SonIL put on their deck steps ^ they are pre-grooved deck stair treads. He installed them recently and I saw them for the first time this weekend. Funny to come home to the OFs talking about stairs!

I was gone for the weekend to DD's house to help with the grandkids while she helped coordinate a Fall Fest at their church. Played Legos, horses and Hot Wheels, read books, watched Paw Patrol, PJ Masks and World of Horses and manned the Trunk or Treat while she took the kids to play games. I'm exhausted!
....from the weekend and from catching up on all the gabbing!
