I have this type on the top of my right foot:

It makes shoes a bit tight and hurts sometimes but not too badly...I still have nerve damage from a crushed sciatic nerve so the foot is a bit numb
Oh Ron, that is terrible to put up with every day.:hugs:hugs:hugs

I know!
How can I be a "real" Californian If I can't wear birkenstocks!

The strap on sandals hits the bump and hurts it. I might get is looked at by a podiatrist again. Several years ago He said to wait until it was worse.

I have foot drop in the right foot. I can lift the foot up about 60% or so of normal. I trip sometimes too. I have to watch out for cracks.

When I have my foot looked at, I might check into getting my Achilles tendon lengthened. It was messed up by the nerve damage. That would require some down time though

We have lots of river front, the river runs all the way around the property in a u shape.View attachment 1175778

Sweeeeet.

I really like the idea of a hoop coop. Project would have to wait till spring here and I'd have to put in a solid form of coop for them due to the extreme winter weather but cattle panels/hog panels are SOP here.

I just have to get them through this winter.

Plus, I have your build as a blueprint!:clap

It is an artesian well?

Your place sounds very nice!
Not sure what the spring/well is classified as. This is a google map of the place, my chunk is the part with the dirt (more than the dirt area) the dark blotch above the dirt is the big tree at the cemetery, that is also the very top of the hill. Down lower left, you can see the driveway coming in, house is to the left of the driveway and the barn is to the right, the well house is beside the barn. You can see the property line going around as there is an old right of way road going through there and makes a disturbance in the tree line.

There is a site that you can to to that will show the aquifers:

https://water.usgs.gov/ogw/aquifer/map.html

It's not the easiest map to read but it will tell you where the ground water is located.

Ran the hoop coop past DH as an idea for the rooster pen in the spring. He liked the idea. @CapricornFarm , are you planning to move your hoop coop utilizing it as a tractor or is it permanent. If permanent do you have it anchored? I'd like to build one that is tall enough to walk into but could be moved around so the roosters can
'free range' in the coop.
