We had a tiny amount here last year I think I have talked of our micro climates here there will be snow on one minor hill into Morton or going the other way by Ethel but nothing right here

It is a two hour drive to snow and a two hour drive the other way to the Ocean. I can choose either way which is ideal.

Now IMHO, THAT is the only real, acceptable reason to live in CA. Having the mountains and ocean both within easy reach. The liberal politics, over regulation, and cost to live there (coupled with the traffic and so many people) outweigh that positive for me... But for those of you who stay there regardless, I do envy you that one plus... I moved from the east coast and ocean (and people and traffic) to CO and had mountains (with a near CA climate and too many CA transplants ). Now I live in NE TX and have little traffic, not too many people, lower costs, Less politics, and more land/space... but neither mountains or ocean. <sigh>
