The Old Folks Home

The latest crisis is the furnace... came in from raking and ... boy there's water everywhere. Furnace still runs but there's this open ended pipe that comes out the furnace and it's drip drip drip. When the furnace comes on it is like the furnace pees out the pipe.
Got both the emergency switches on, it drips much less... will just turn it on when I go out to do the chickens tomorrow so I can shower, then turn it off when I leave.
Furnace guy was supposed to come out and clean/maintain on Friday but had to cancel since I didn't have power. Now it's this Friday. I can make it.

Peep I enjoyed our chicks to much! Lol
I only had a few buffs that still demanded attention when they were old enough to lay. They would fly up on your shoulder or arms. And I had my turkey that way till they were old enough to lay except one hen. She would wait till I bent over to do something and would fly on my back. Lol I do miss them. I told dh after he retires we will get 2-3 hens and have a tractor for them. I only had a few that had feathered legs and the clay and mud was a mess in those feathers.
I kept putting wood shavings down in their run to help with the muck.

I guess our body clock are out of wack as well. I put supper on to early. Lol

I am so sorry!

I had to change the batteries in my thermostat today. Does that count?

Knocking on wood for you!
