The Old Folks Home

last time at my new Dr he wanted me on vitamin D had me do another blood test said it was better but still low he wants me on 12000 per day .... hmm these are fluid filled D mine are 5000 ui so am taking 3 now said new blood work in 2 months

Yes I have a pellet stove and 2 wood stoves.

I have homework tonight - I'm supposed to make the patient NPO this evening, then do q1 hr vital signs complete with output measurement and blood pressures. At least that's what I got from what the furnace guy said over the phone today.

I'm going to make him regret this - he's getting a nursing flow sheet with my q1 hr checks, in metric.

It's going to be p.r., p.r.n.

:yuckyuck:goodpost: I REALLY love this. Too bad the patient is NPO you could really have fun with intakes thrown in for good measure.

If it pees, call it an emesis.

How much ya wanna be the guy reads the flow sheet, stands there and scratches his head and says 'huh?'
I love everyone's minds on here. gig.gif That goes for the rest of you too!:clap

@Wickedchicken6, awwwwwww thanks, sweetie, you made my day.

@CapricornFarm, when I graduated from nurses training I started working as an OB scrub nurse and neonatal nursery charge nurse making 7.49 an hour. I can remember the amount to this day. Starting pay was 7$, 25cents and hour shift differential, 24cents for working a specialty floor. The checkers working at Krogers were pulling in 15.00 and hour. I went ballistic.

I just got a pleasant surprise. Our neighbors next door with 13 kids just emailed and asked us to join them for Thanksgiving dinner. Not having to cook Thanksgiving dinner! Doing a happy dance~ @ronott1 I told them to let me bring the dinner rolls. I have a KILLER recipe!

Our local C&R has a store membership card where you collect points for buying groceries. This year for 15,000 points you get a free turkey. I just checked my point total. 32,000 points.

SCORE!:yesss:

not sure if you have Costco but they invited us to an executive membership the amount we spend per year is the reason our membership is payed by rewards like 2% of what we spend close to say allot

I happen to know a pharmacist if you have specific questions about B12 and/or pernicious anemia.
If that includes me, I may take you up on that...lol.

I was trying to catch up when everyone was discussing getting the flu shot, how they base what they give and how it was seeming like a it was not going to be a good year with those who have gotten sick already.

I brought it up with the family and we high tailed it in to get vaxed at the first clinic in our area...a good birthday present for the boy on his 17th! I was relieved to hear the vaccine we were receiving consisted of the four like you had mentioned. We're already a couple of weeks in so thank you for the information and thank you to everyone for the discussion on that!:clap We may have put it off and lived to pay the price.
