Ouch!

I usually do stuff like that when we are splitting wood. I have had a large round shift and tumbled down off the pile and hit me on the shin. That makes you dance. I have a numb spot under my knee on my left leg probably from my back problems. I cut the are on barbed wire once and never felt it so I can sympathize.

We were burning brush two years ago and DH had a hot ember fall down between his shoe and foot. Luckily he wasn't wearing socks because if he had it would have melted the fabric to his skin. As it was it blistered him royally and the burn wound up getting infected. He worked most of the summer getting it healed up.

We've decided that farm living is hazzardous to your health, LOL.

Yes, i always fall more on a farm. More activities that are hazardous.

nice!! Finally has a picture again!

It is a how-to article..like how to plan a coop for a cold climate. It isn't a coop article (I have 3 coop articles )It goes over snow berms, coop door design with lots of snow, perch width, pros and cons of insulation. ..etc.

I moved it to housing and feeding your flock. It could go into the coop section though. It was in member pages which is definitely not the correct place

It happened during the move to the new host. Most of the coop pages were moved into the members section. We just finished a project where we moved 900 coop pages from member pages to coop pages and set the cover image. Your page did not have coop in the title so it did not get onto the move list.

This will be an ongoing project! The articles were very messed up but are getting better

I was a moderator over on the sister site for a while and that's the software this site was moved to. Ron, and for those who are wondering. With this new forum software ANY member can delete their own post if they wish to. It is an option at the bottom of the post window. As for the thread tools, those are reserved for moderators, project managers, etc. And there are different levels of stuff there as well.

For example, Sumi can/could ban a member straight up, but I couldn't. I could assign so many penalty points though that the system itself would have banned them. Stuff like that. I also, as a moderator, had the ability to alter/edit/delete/move any posts/threads/etc. These are the capabilities they've evidently given you Ron so that you can carry out the parameters of your project.

Being able to delete your own dup posts saves the moderators a ton of time.

ETA: I wish with the new software they gave delete permission to thread owners/OPs so they could eliminate bad posts to their own threads.

I haven't been on your side of the coin and I'm not that knowledgeable on how things work behind the scenes. But I think I'm glad that thread owners/OPs aren't given the power to eliminate bad posts. I feel this takes a level of maturity and integrity that some may not possess. As far as websites go, BYC is one of a kind...please don't misunderstand. But I do think it's a job that's best left to staff/moderators. Regional differences, age differences, new members and young members...even differences in style among seasoned members can cause ripples. A few disgruntled people could make an awful mess.
That's just my thoughts.
