The Old Folks Home

Cold here too but beautiful! The snow is stuck to the trees like heavy whipped cream and it looks a great deal more like Christmas than a week before Thanksgiving. It feels so holiday"ish" than I'm needing to fight the urge to drag out the ornaments.

The hens are happy because the sun popped out just long enough today to melt the snow off the grass in several of the places where I shoveled for them. The crazy BA pullets were doing aerial Red Baron dives at each other as they ran around the trails, occasionally veering off to make a hopping scraping run at one of the Buffs. Guess they had been tired of being cooped up in the greenhouse  They ran around so hard that they went into the coop early and were sound asleep on the roost when I went to close them all in even tho the light was still on. (I have it set to turn off a half hour after dark so they have plenty of time to grab a snack, settle in and I can still see that all is well when I lock them in.)

Have a wonderful blessed week everyone :hugs

After they put the new roof on our place (hopefully they will get to it soon), then new screens on the porch (can't put in new screen until the roof is done), then I will get all new appliances. NO GE appliances allowed, especially the dishwasher. The only thing by GE that I will allow, is the washing machine. They make a good washing machine.
