There's such a thing as MINT chocolate covered grahams????![]()
My exact thought, too! I think I will have to venture into the forbidden cookie aisle next store trip and have a search. (Desserts are my danger zone.)

Um, how does that work? Generally it is 12 to 13 steps from one level to the next and you only have one level. House up a hill from the road or something? We have one level, 21 stairs. Next house will be single level for sure
Oh, yeah. I used to get them at the local C&R and I think I've seen them at Dollar General on occasions. I became sadly addicted to them to the point that I just had to quit buying them. There's such a thing as MINT chocolate covered grahams????![]()
X2 to Ron about on the DW. Great to hear she is progressing.I'm glad she's getting better. That's a long haul with an injury like that.
Ooooh...how many stairs do you have? I wish I'd of listened about stairs when we built our house. It's got 3 levels of stairs!![]()
They do make smaller bags of feed but charge a lot more for them. Have you considered making wheeled supports for the garbage cans you keep feed in? You could move them around easier that way.
I now move all feed bags and with my handy dandy dolly and all buckets have been downsized to the plastic frosting buckets you can get free or super cheap from the bakeries or bakery departments at the grocery stores. They have the same tight lids as the five gallon ones and you can even occasionally pick up a one gallon one which are handy for treat storage.I think it would be most fantastic if they made feed bags and softener salt bags in half sizes. However I doubt that would ever happen.
I was at the point of being able to lift a bag down and walk it around. Now I was cracking a bag open in the barn and walking back and forth with part pails of feed to fill the feeders. I think I'm up to lifting a full pail (8 litres) of feed and water with my back again...but my elbows say "NO!"I say
to you elbows.
But I'm still being good and lifting partial pails.
So lots of walking exercise..that's a plus.![]()
I didn't realize coconut was (considered) a tree nut. It's something I've never thought about! I learn so much here...lol.Oh, yeah. I used to get them at the local C&R and I think I've seen them at Dollar General on occasions. I became sadly addicted to them to the point that I just had to quit buying them.
@penny1960, I need to get back on D. I have to put an order in at Vitacost next week and plan to order some. I'm so tired this morning I can hardly drag one foot behind the other in spite of sleeping 8 hours last night. I also made the mistake of eating a few cookies last night that have coconut in them and since I'm allergic to tree nuts (yeah, coconut is a tree nut believe it or not) that may be causing it and the upset stomach also. I took a Benedryl and feel a little better so no more cookies.
Since I've had Lyme disease I've developed a lot of weird food allergies. Not unusual at all.
A very good DH indeed!X2 to Ron about on the DW. Great to hear she is progressing.
When we were building the front porch and back deck/porch I made DH ditch the prefab stringers for the steps and stretch out the rise and run. I got the "eye roll" at the time but now he admits to being grateful for my foresight since his knees gave out. He also reworked the two steps up into the coop while I was healing from my broken leg/ankle and turned them into more like staggered platforms. Good DH![]()
Aren't those fantastic pails!!I now move all feed bags and with my handy dandy dolly and all buckets have been downsized to the plastic frosting buckets you can get free or super cheap from the bakeries or bakery departments at the grocery stores. Very nice as well!! I love the colors!
I quoted this but missed typing anything. I just love roosters even if I had no hens. They will die to defend their girls if necessary. I like roosters as long as they don't flog me.
