The Old Folks Home

I always liked the Rosanne Barr line when she said 'I could be that skinny if I threw up everything I ate'. Truth of the matter is that we tend to become less active as we age and require less calories because of it and it just isn't easy to do. Then after menopause our metabolism changes even more. It's a bad joke on the part of Mother Nature, I tell ya.

Perchie, hang in there. In the mean time keep busy and keep the faith. If you need a morale boost we are here for you!

Cap, I love that quilt. It's so bright and colorful. I'm going to have to do more research on making one.

Penny, I'm the same way. Winter is quilting time for me. I'm plugging away at my sofa throw. I try to quilt out two 8X8 inch 'squares' on it every night so my hands don't bother me too much. I'll try to post a picture of it when I move my hoops the next time, probably tonight or tomorrow. I'm still working on the chair. I keep forgetting to buy staples for the staple gun when we go to the city.

Making them for all the techs at work.

I'm biased because I see government drug prices all day but yes a vial is cheap. However, knowing that, I still carry a pen when I do the bees. I know others that carry a vial and syringe. I don't want to be mucking with putting a syringe and needle together, jamming it into the rubber stopper on a tiny vial, turning it over, drawing up the med, then injecting it into me during a crisis where I'll likely be alone. I want to basically point and click to save my life, so I carry a pen.

Here's a helpful hint... get your doctor to write for epinephrine auto injector, and not specify the brand Epi Pen, and then pharmacies can fill for Adrenaclick, which is made by Impax, not Mylan.

There's also what appears to be a valid coupon for Adrenaclick at this time...

https://sservices.trialcard.com/Coupon/Epinephrine

This will get it down to about 50$ per 2 pack, cash price.

Lucky co workers!

thanks for the tip on auto injectors

they are finding that out using fitness trackers!

We move a lot less than we think and report on self surveys.

The most active age group is 15-19. After that, we become very sedentary as a nation

I've been on a small dose(10mg) of generic Lipitor, for several years and have read that it increases blood sugar and memory loss. They(doctors) consider me borderline but I always had low readings B4 Lipitor. As for memory loss both siblings & I have it also of course we are 67,70 and 74.

It's funny & sad that when the 3 of us are together it takes quite awhile to tell a story because we keep forgetting everything.

The 2 workers arrived at 1:30 and forgot to bring the charger and batteries for their portable tools! They never cease to amaze me at how clueless they are. They have not finished the goat shed but are now working on the soffits for the house. I hope they stay later than 3 pm!
Boo for them!

Did they want to use your equipment?
