The Old Folks Home

Anyone want a small Scrappy snowman? I didn't put a hanger on it but it was for my office door last year and I traded it for the deer this year.

Obviously my favorite color is blue...

You sound like me. Only take one drug that is on the HAVE TO TAKE THIS list. The rest are mainly allergy and supplements with the exception of my pain medicine and muscle relaxers.

I just called my insurance company concerning me seeing a rheumatologist and how much I will have to pay OOP. Needless to say I didn't get very far, the news wasn't good, and will be better off if I wait till medicare kicks in next August. Anthem had the bad judgement to then send me a customer service survey about how likely I was to recommend them for insurance.:rant

Hey guys! DON'T USE ANTHEM! NEVER EVER NEVER NOT IF THERE WAS ONLY ONE INSURANCE COMPANY LEFT IN THE COUNTRY AND THEY WERE IT! How's that for a recommendation?
I have a young friend that suffers from RA. She takes a weekly tablet, cant remember drug name, and it works well. When she followed the current Weight Watchers program, her hands didnt hurt anymore. As long as she stayed on WW she didnt need the meds.

The diet was likely a lower carb count and fewer calories. And more servings of quality low carb vegies.

She is probably taking Methotrexate. I have a friend who has RA and takes it whenever she has a flare.

I learned about low carb, low sugars, low anything that tastes good in order to lower the inflammatory response when I was fighting Lyme. I need to get back on that diet again. I always feel better when I lower my sugar intake. It's just so flipping hard to do that over the holidays, but I need to do it. I had a month where I just ate chicken, veggies, oatmeal and lean red meats. No bread, no sugars, no simple carbs. The only complex I ate was brown rice......GAWD! I hated that diet but lost a bunch of weight.

Definitely no German chocolate cake, @Alaskan. A world without chocolate cake is a boring world indeed. One of the last recipes I got my mom to recite to me before her memory for such things was gone was for her sour cream chocolate cake. Top it with fudge buttercream frosting then shave semi sweet chocolate over the top of it. :drool

Now I want chocolate cake! See! See how hard it is?:he

@superchemicalgirl, I'd take that adorable wall hanging but I don't know for the life of me where I would hang it!:idunno
