I just got caught up. I've been sick. I'm doing somewhat better now. I had to get up early this morning. The roofers came.
They began tearing the old roof off. They took out all the damaged sheets of wood, and replaced them (only 2). (click on the image to get a larger pic, if you'd like)

They began getting the new roof on.

They cleaned up after themselves pretty good, before they left for the day. They'll be back again at 6:30 in the morning.

They will be done tomorrow afternoon.

I hope you will be completely recovered soon. Your place looks huge! I wish our workers were reliable hard workers!

@getaclue, sick and dealing with roofers? You have my utmost respect.

The first thing I thought when I saw the picture of the front was 'Palm Trees! Warm weather!'

Yes, I'm ready for spring already and winter hasn't even hit yet.

Feel better. Hope it wasn't anything serious.

@Latestarter, any antibiotic is better than none at all. If it doesn't clear by the time you've finished your current UTI (OUCH! I HATE THOSE!) something different may be in order.

Keep up the soaks, keep it open so it can drain and keep an eye on it.-You feel better also!

my prayers are with you glad you feeling a bit better we are also looking at a new roof but will wait till our summer to do it

Anyone here had anything like this happen to them? My other thumb nail used to have a similar crease, but it grew out and isn't there anymore.

nope. sounds unpleasant. I agree with @microchick keep soaking and keep it open. At least squeezing out puss is kinda fun.

Sorry you've been sick Clue. Hope you pull out of it soon. Make sure you ask the workers to walk the perimeter with a magnet to get any missed nails and such. You really don't need one through your foot or a tire.

You also don't want chicken swallowing shiny things like nails.

Thank you all. They're back today, making lots of noise up there. The chickens don't like any of it. The coops, and runs are far enough away, they're not getting any of the fall-out from it. Dh has already contacted the people to set the date for them to come put the new screen on the patio. I will be sooooo glad when that is done. After that, we get the new pool heater installed, and all new kitchen appliances. It should all be done in time for Christmas.

Wow Clue, sounds like you'll be all set in a few more weeks or so. I'm sure you'll be extra special happy after all the work is done and you can sit back (figure of speech of course) and enjoy it.
