I've been dragging branches, Big ones, out of the backyard. All day high winds brought several down from the Sycamore tree. Every time I got near the gate to bring them out, they grabbed it and forced it shut again. I :rant regrouped, turned them around and managed to thread them through the opening. Wind persists today and my fingers were freezing.

I have not seen any wooly bears but i would not blame them if they didn't eat them, it would be like swallowing a big pipe cleaner!:gig
 
Morning everyone.

We had storms rumble through here about 5PM last night. Not much rain but a lot of wind. I went outside once and the rolling thunder was just continuous. Really unusual for this time of year.

This morning the sun is out bright, temp is up to 35 but the wind is brutal. I didn't wear gloves out to take care of the birds and by the time I fastened down a tarp, fetched water and got everywhere fed, my hands were numb. Time to bring in the feed cart to haul water from the house.

I was able to pick up a heated dog dish at Orschelns on Black Friday for only 17.99 with free shipping. SCORE!:celebrate

Country, you are a very talented artist! Are you noticing any fading using the pencils? I use mainly India ink and pencil for sketching but DH just bought me a set of water colors so I'm going to stretch my creative wings a bit. Now to find the time.........................
 
@microchick those pieces have been inside the whole time...since the 80s....and there isn't any fade to them. The oils in the pencils are similar to what is used in the oil paints for artists. They aren't the ordinary colored pencils, but they were even a bit pricey back then. There is a glaze finish on them also that aids in the protection. I did those for my Mom and they are the only pieces that are still around that I know of...I don't usually keep anything that I do....I always give them away....:)
