The Old Folks Home

You bet it does and that was the gist of what I was going to post along with lots of :hugs
Sure it would have been nice to get an "all clear" we would all want that. But I think you suspected this was going to be the diagnosis. Surgery in a week is better than "we'll keep looking at it until we figure out what is going on.

I've "known" you for what, 5 years? Strong, intelligent, logic driven, self sufficient woman. You know we are all rooting for you to come through this as quickly as possible.
Totally agree with all said and tons of hugs and a small prayer for a fast recovery from surgery and all as well. Are you going to get some help with all your folks while you heal?

Now, where's my coffee mug????

Went to the doc to day to find out the results..... Yep cancer and they are taking everything... Including a lymph node to see if its in my lymph system.

Tomorrow morning I setup my patient account at UCSD Medical Center.... the Case manager tells me this will follow me through life the account number that is.

So depending on if its in my lymph system or not will determine if I get Chemo or Radiation... Chemo for lymph. Radiation for just the cancer... Unless they feel they got it all in surgery.

The Case worker it may be a week or less before they do the surgery... So before Christmas.

The Doctor Said she was so sorry it wasnt better news. i told her ... It is what it is... We tackle what comes...

I am pretty pragmatic once I know the outcome... I will get upset in private.

I got Chips and guacamole coming for dinner and GUINESS...

So now everyone knows what I know...

Now you have a plan and things are moving along.

May the surgery go well and recovery be short!

So Debbie, basically you are having a hysterectomy. Plan on not doing much of anything for 6 weeks. I walked daily as i was able and made a quilt. I had an issue with pain control in hospital and they ended up giving me morphine. But that made me puke as i feared so they switched me again. After a few days it was much better pain wise.
You can get there. We Debs are strong!

apparently they will have me walking within a few hours of the surgery.... When I had my C section they sent me home in 24 hours with suggestions to hold a pillow over my stommach when I got up to do stuff. You know Like changing a diaper feeding putting him to bed... Mom walked out on me so I was by myself.

Outside of the fear my guts would fall out I did ok.
