The Old Folks Home

It was ME and we LOVE IT!:ya

I am seriously not kidding. DH and I are notorious for doing unorthodox things when it comes to decorating. We searched high and low on the internet to find a bathroom sink that was unique and came up with one that is beaten copper shaped like an old style deep wash basin with a handle on either side. The faucet is a water fall faucet that looks like an old pump nozzle.

This is great. We seriously will put it on the possibility list!
Hey, i was looking for a tub too. I did mention it to hubby today. I miss baths!

As the front continues east, the snow in sw AL should be ending soon. Has anyone had any thunder snow yet? Looks like there may be some T-storms in that line...

They said we should get snow through tonight and in the morning. Then it's suppose to move out. It looks like we are now at 6". The snow is falling like crazy still and the flakes are the size of a quarter.

This looks like and easy set up and maybe in a room addition or something. :D

I think DH is going to stay with him at this point for his doctor.
Wouldn't happen here, ER docs are ER only, GPs GP only. Glad he can choose to use the guy who thought things through and glad it was caught quickly!

My son got the ring i shipped, but one of the diamonds is missing and was not when i shipped it. Very odd.
Is there any hint that the package was opened prior to delivery?? Seems REALLY odd that someone would open it and take out a single stone then carefully pack it back up.

I wear t-shirts around the house now and am usually comfortable while DH is sweltering.
Sounds like DH is wearing too much.

They prefer it when the inside temp matches the outside.
They can live in the barn!

No insurance, they would not insure it because i had no receipt for it.
In hindsight then it would have been necessary to have the ring appraised by a jeweler prior to shipping it. A lesson for any of us in the future. And a picture taken just before packing it up to show to the sender and receiver what was, and was not, there when it was sent.

You are just SOL for the rest unless you have it separately insured.
Which is why you DO have separate insurance on such things ;) I don't have insurance on the pre Civil War sofa and chairs I have. Why? Because they are irreplaceable, insurance would just be extra money every year.

Taxes in IL on a quarter acre lot with a 50 yr old ranch style home on it were almost 2000 dollars.
Cheap. Tax here on prior house: < 1/10 acre, 1,500 sq ft house assessed at $325K - over $7K a year.

I read a headline about panic in Atlanta-- people raiding stores because they were scared-- even though the snow was suppose to melt quickly
You can't fix stupid.

It looks like we are now at 6".
That must be a "once in a lifetime" amount of snow there chicka!

decided 5 kinds is enough packed 5 boxes full taped ready to go guys left me here swept and vacuumed did the cat boxes now need to do chickens 005.jpg
