I was born in New York, lived there until i went to university at 17. That was in Nova Scotia. Met hubby and stayed there until 1992. Decided i had enough snow , called hubby and said, "Dear we are going to move to Florida." He said OK. And we did.

Actually, we lived in TN for 7 years until my Dad was in for open heart surgery . We were packing to move back to FL when he died. We lived in FL until we dealt with his house and my Aunts house when she died. Mom has dementia and after a year of caring for her i was so depressed i had to move back to the country. So here we are in VA to stay. Too bloody much snow and cold gloomy weather in NS. Plus the taxes are high.

Sorry ya'll are getting so much snow.
It is suppose to go down to 15* one day next week and 11* another! Aww Alabama
just can't get our what ever together!

Great pictures Ron! Beautiful family and it's nice to have a face to connect with the on line persona.

Today is undecorate day for me. Everything back into boxes and totes till next year.

The chooks are handling the cold weather well. No frostbite that I can see. My biggest challenge has been the overnight temps freezing the water solid. I swapped out waterers this morning and brought the frozen ones in to thaw. Even my new heated dog bowl had a coat of ice on it....unfortunately. It's only up to 8 degrees at the moment so hopefully it will be thawed when I go out.
