Yay, Perchie! Now you can heal in peace (well, at least not having nurses check your vitals every hour... "Wake up! Time to take your sleeping pill.")

got home today ... Surgery took 5 hours with an hour before and an hour after for anesteshia an recovery.
We are in the middle of a flue eppidemic. So I woke up in Recovery and spent the day inj recovery waiting for a room. Finallly got a room around midnight. Spentt the nex day in hospital working on getting to pee. and getting up on my own. Doc didnt like anything about my recovery... blood pressur too high, oxygen too low, Blood sugar too high.
Woke up oritginally on a Cpap macine with oxygen aded... plus a machine that was a legg massager... My first day i spent in a sitting position and still on the operating table....
They moved me to a regular bedwith a hover craft arrangement... Cpap and massagesr and all. while iwas in the recovery room I drwe one of the nurses a horse. Its on their wall now.
They finally moved me to the hospital and I got to sleep finally. Two long twelve hour stretches...
They said it was because of the Cpap machine....
I am stillhurting... and wobbly and achyu but at least i am home.

I TOTALLY agree!!
What have you seen
Luckily, since we got here, we just walked every where (we rented an apartment for the 8 days we will be in Dresden). I did have to drive last night and this morning to get us to church. .. blasted city driving. one intersection had so many different traffic lights...I thought I was supposed to go when I wasn't. .. then I started to drive down a tram way ...had to back up and get back on the car road.
Luckily the car is now PARKED again. whew!IME German desserts are great, but not "sweet" like American desserts. Hope you get to enjoy a whole lot of them with your "continental" breakfasts...
