The Old Folks Home

My big plan is to survive the weekend. Lots of rain coming and i already have the flu.

Take care if you have the flu people are dying from it.. We are suppose to dry out but not till Monday here

Take care, cap. This flu isn't anything to take lightly. I had to call my doctor's office today. The young lady I talked to asked me how I was doing and I said great! I don't have the flu! I should have added 'yet'. I was reading on line today where the flu is epidemic here in Missouri and the #1 state for reported infections. Scary. I need to go to the store and DH has his last current round of skin cancer surgery on Wednesday. At the moment I am afraid to get around people.

I usually wait till late December or the first of Jan to get a flu shot as it usually hits me late in the season if it hits me at all but this year, it came in so early and hard that I haven't had a chance to get one.

Don't hesitate to get to the doctor if you start having trouble breathing or extra high fever.

:hugs

I get a flu shot every year usually September or October. Target has made it more attractive by giving a $ 5. gift card with each flu shot. You can only get one flu shot, I already asked. I thought it would be cool to get more gift cards.

The pharmacist gave me a perk though. They didn't have any bandaids with the Target dog on them this year, so he let me pick a candy bar from his secret stash. I've known this poor man since Target opened- he has a great sense of humor.

Oh beer,
You should seriously reconsider adding a puppy to your chaos. I significantly regret my puppy.

Right now she's at Grandma's house because bf has been on nights all week and I was dogicidal.

Happy Friday y'all. Who has fun weekend plans?

Yeah.... I hate puppies. :sick old dogs... before the incontinence etc. sets in can be nice.

Clearly... I am not a dog person. :hu

I like birds of all sorts... and the goats are cool. .. horrid trouble makers though they are.

I read once that dogs have the emotional stability of a three year old child their entire adult lives. When you think about it you can understand dogs a lot better. They are definitely children with fur forever stuck in childhood.

Happy Saturday everybody. The sun is out and they are calling for highs in the low 50s again today but no wind like yesterday. I'm more or less resigned into going into town today whether I like it or not and I don't. Other than that, no plans.
