The Old Folks Home

I use a fan on my seedlings too. It makes them stronger when they go outside. Be careful it dries them out bad so be prudent and get them used to it in small 15 minute increments.

Freezing rain here now. Just lost power twice but it keeps coming back. Spent part of my day graffiti quilting which I've never done before. Not quite the right project to have done it on, needed to be more simple, but it was fun.

just beautiful as always

How does that work? Never heard of it.
In a still environment like in a house, seedlings will get really tall with really weak stems, if they are blown around by a fan or a breeze, they beef up the stems and stay shorter to avoid breaking off. Makes for a stronger plant.

I had never heard that before but do not start allot inside either never have

I hadn't heard of putting a fan on them before either, but I knew getting leggy from lack of wind was a hazard. Makes perfect sense if you think about it.

Guess so if there is allot of wind where you are we do not have a ton here and mu greenhouse blocks the wind from the area we plant in

Thanks NAF.

Dh has a guy he works with that traps wild hogs and sends them to the processing plant.
Dh bought 2 from him a few weeks ago. The processor has been backed up with processing all the deer. So dh got a call yesterday that they will bring the meat to work for him tomorrow. Dh bought one hog and the guy gave him one for free. Since dh is his boss and he's trying to get rid of all the ones he had. lol
The processor made fat link sausage and patties out of the meat.
They weighed about 40 lbs each. I can hardly wait to try the meat.
I may fix some for supper tomorrow night.

Thanks for the tip on the time frame. I will.

Very pretty table runner. You always make such beautiful things Scg.

When is that fungus covered birch going to fall @superchemicalgirl? And when it does, not over the driveway or on the house I hope.
I use it all year round, twice a day as I am literally allergic to everything.
I use Costco's generic Flonase. It is called AllerFlo and is WAY WAY WAY cheaper than the name brand stuff. EXACT same ingredients in the same order. The "mister" on the "real thing" is better though. Still for the price difference, I can deal.
