The Old Folks Home

I've been wanting to get Kinder goats for a few yrs now, they're a small dual purpose. Pretty pricy here though, only a couple places have them within driving distance.
I might have to just get Nigerian dwarfs. I'll have to use my big coop for them though so I'll have to build another small one.

You know a Kinder is a cross between a pygmy and a nubian. Get yourself a nubian doe (large milk goat) and a pygmy buck and make your own kinders. Side benefit is you'll have the milk from the nubian (1+gallon/day typical) while you wait for the kinders to mature. Of course you know they need to get pregnant and have kids to produce milk, right? Unless you luck into a goat with a capricious udder (term?) that once started will milk indefinitely.

The only problem with Nigies is their teats are so small... difficult to milk, and though their milk is excellent, they don't give very much... Like maybe a`1/2 gallon or so at peak. One of my full sized Lamanchas has very small pencil teats. She isn't a joy to milk either really.

Indian casinos here the state refused to let them have a liquor licence unless they start paying taxes on tobacco sales. So they decided to allow BYO.
Now I see they do have beer and wine in the restaurants but no where else.
State also had a treaty with them that the state wouldn't allow any non-native casinos, they had exclusive rights in the state. Last yr somehow our governor changed the law and allowed a few new private owned casinos (still breaking treaties...) to be built hoping to bring in some tax revenue. So far its been a bust, not bringing in no where near what they projected. I figure people only have so much money to blow and already go to the reservation casinos.
I don't care if one of the private ones are closer, if we go again I'd rather drive to Turning Stone and give them the $$.
Only been there twice we're not into gambling, and the second time cause they gave us a free two night stay in their fancy Tower Hotel, only stayed one night.
Like to go again sometime when they have a good concert or comedian.

Yes. And if the nubian and pygmy are registered the offspring, kinders can be registered. I thought about it but not sure if I want to go that route.

Just finished shoveling 7 inches of snow, to make room for the 7-9" coming Thursday evening and them more of the same on Friday &Saturday. By law snow should only be allowed to land on surfaces with snow on them. NO snow to land on cleared areas. I will filibuster for this if I have too. :smack

I would pay to watch that

That would be the kind of goat I would need. Let me know when you have perfected that "breed" :)

:mad::barnie:he
Still?? We haven't broken enough treaties with them already?? :mad::tongue
The Seneca don't have to pay tax on anything. "Compensation" for an 1800's treaty that was broken. Cheap gas on their reservation if you are running the northern route through N.Y. state.
